Our client approached us with the requirement to deliver a robust and future-ready cabling infrastructure within a high-resilience data centre environment. The facility plays a critical role in hosting mission-essential applications and services, where performance, security, and reliability are paramount. The project needed to support a substantial increase in data throughput and network traffic as part of the client’s digital infrastructure roadmap.

The brief called for the supply, installation, and commissioning of a high-performance structured cabling system, inclusive of both copper and fibre solutions. Given the nature of the environment, all works were to be completed under strict site security and operational protocols. This meant minimising disruption to ongoing operations, adhering to rigid access control processes, and ensuring all personnel and equipment met the necessary compliance standards. The client required a partner with a proven track record in working within secure, high-availability facilities and delivering technical excellence while aligning with tight delivery schedules and zero-tolerance for service impact.

Solution

We supplied, installed, and commissioned a Category 6A F/FTP structured cabling system along with a fibre optic backbone.

Key components of the project included:

Installation of shielded CAT6A cabling to minimise interference
High-density fibre links for core connectivity
Testing, certification, and documentation to industry standards
Execution under strict site security protocols

In addition, our team collaborated closely with the client’s teams to ensure compatibility with existing systems. All cable routes were carefully planned to maintain optimal airflow and comply with data centre design standards. The project was managed to minimise downtime and operational impact.
